I was recently outside an exhibition opening talking with a friend who is Tongan musician, were smoking cigarettes and checking in with each other about the progress of our art practices. They told me about the history of the archived music in New Zealand. They were able to share with some useful links for my work. Some of these are Maori and although I won't be using these recordings, I think it's still important to note.
Timestamp 6:30 is really interesting (possibly use for intro)
Time stamp 22:30 would be good for a Maui installation soundscape, it relates to harvesting chant which is a trait related to Maui.
